Mrs. Hanson's Second Grade Syllabus

This syllabus demonstrates good classroom management.  Mrs. Hanson sucessfully outlines classroom procedures and expectations in detail.  She includes in-depth overview of what the students will be learning throughout the year in each content area.  Furthermore, she includes guidelines for assessment and evaluation.  Mrs. Hanson includes the school-disctrict grading rubric to demonstrate expecations.  Much of the syllabus covers procedures such as the homework, make-up work, tardiness, and absences.  She also cleary communicates the rules for student behavior and outlines how behavior is managed in the classroom (through the use of a behavior chart).  Mr. Hanson explains non-instructional procedures such as arrival, sharpening pencils, lucnh, ect.  This syllabus has a clear overall organization and depth of detail that demonstrates good classroom management.
