Provides space for reading activities
Includes table groups
Teacher desk is oriented to supervise the classroom
Includes a table for groupwork
Spacing allows for safe movement around the classroom
All tables are facing the front of the classroom, so that all students are able to see instruction

EXAMPLE CLASSROOM LAYOUT

We created this classroom layout as an example that inclues our characteristics of a good classroom layout. This layout allows for student interaction and movement in the classroom. The teacher's desk is placed in a corner where they are able to monitor the whole classroom. The square rug could b used as a central meeting place in the classroom to bring unity to the layout.
