Definition

 

Classroom management seeks to create an environment where student learning and achievement may flourish by establishing effective routines and collaborative community.  Classroom management takes proactive and preventative measures to establish consistency and to enhance social and moral growth.

 

"Classroom management consists of the practices and procedures a teacher uses to maintain the environment in which instruction and learning can take place" (Wong).
